Re: BBQ Linux Bootloader Install Error

leave the installer, open a terminal, mount all target partitions by hand, chroot into the system and run:

grub-install --target=x86_64-efi --efi-directory=/boot/efi --bootloader-id=bbqlinux --force

Re: BBQ Linux Bootloader Install Error

Hi
I get the same error.
I can only mount read only...so i did not install grub.(linux noob)

Also, I have the problem no matter which partition I select for the bootloader installation(or if i choose no bootloader install).
The installer always selected a ntfs formatted disk(sda). This is only used for data. I have no windows  on my pc.

So I decided to just use my existing grub.

I updated my Grub from my Ubuntu installation (other hdd).

When I start bbqlinux is displayed.
Unfortunately I only get into the recoveryshell.
Is there a possibility to save this installation?

Or how can I install bbqlinux with grub on the same hard disk?

Re: BBQ Linux Bootloader Install Error

Delete all partitions on your harddisk using gparted from live dvd.
Then reboot and start the installer. Choose your "fresh" disk for bbqlinux and also choose it for grub.
Should go without problems.
