EXISTS IN FILE SYSTEM ERROR

@codeworkx

I was trying to upgrade my bbqlinux and ran

a. pacman -Syu and i got these errors : http://pastebin.com/uG1kaWbU

b. pacman -Sl bbqlinux  gave me this  : http://pastebin.com/PARnvc5q

I am not sure but i think there is some sort of conflict b/w the main AUR and bbqlinux repo and hence the upgrade is failing.
Should i ignore those packages during upgrade or do something else ?

Thanks !

Re: EXISTS IN FILE SYSTEM ERROR

You have updated the android-sdk through the SDK manager and when Pacman is trying to apply the update it cannot.  See the following post http://bbs.bbqlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=127

Basically install the dummy packages then run sudo pacman -Syu Once that has completed you need to decide if you want to keep android sdk updated via the SDK Manager or Pacman from the BBQ repo.  If you want to keep it updated from SDK Manager as per the post linked install android-sdk from http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html  to /opt/android-sdk, otherwise reinstall the android sdk packages via Pacman.

If you are still having the same issue after doing the above.  Delete the /opt/android-sdk folder with the following command sudo rm -r /opt/android-sdk   and then either install the dummy package and install the SDK yourself directly and keep updated via the SDK Manager or install the android-sdk packages using Pacman

Re: EXISTS IN FILE SYSTEM ERROR

Thanks , i rm -r the /opt/android-sdk and installed from BBQ Repo . I ran the pacman -Syu and its fine.  You said the problem is because is used SDK manager to update, but i never did. The problem is whenever i try to set up android studio , it asks for SDK and i link to the /opt/android-sdk  , and then it installs  files over that /opt/android-sdk : http://i.imgur.com/AgWxvU2.png . I cant find a way around this.

Re: EXISTS IN FILE SYSTEM ERROR

I don't use android studio, it looks if Android Studio can manage the update of the SDK itself, which is causing your issue. There may be an option within Android Studio,  If so turn it off and reinstall packages. Alternatively remove all SDK packages using Pacman and let Android Studio deal with SDK.
